Dear Michigan Trailriders and Friends of Trailriding,
The Equine Trailways Subcommittee (ETS) has completed its Recommendations Report (the “Report”) to the Michigan Snowmobile & Trailways Advisory Committee regarding the current state of trails open to horses in Michigan and our goals for strengthening and improving the trails and network of horse trails across Michigan in the coming years. Following are a letter which briefly explains the ETS Report and a DNR press release which seeks public comment on the Report.
Please send these letters on to your members and horse friends and encourage them to go to michigan.gov/dnr , read the Report or the Executive Summary, and send their comments to: DNR-RTS@michigan.gov.
We hope to get broad grassroots support for strengthening and improving the state of trails, horse campgrounds, and a trails network in Michigan . You and your members are very important in the efforts to improve Michigan horse trails and camping with horses.
